About

Diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer, a rare and aggressive cancer, in March 2012, I spent a year in the company of my friends on Facebook, blogging on a private page. A year after diagnosis I have moved into the world of public blogging, despite ongoing treatment.  I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2009 and this has complicated my return into the ‘back to normal’ world. In June 2014 I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, probably in the lining of the lung. The game is now to manage it as a chronic condition rather than succumbing to the inevitable.

I blog about things that happen to me, things I see/hear and what interests me. Cancer and health are by no means my only topics. As an incredibly nosy person, conversations heard on buses, tubes and in shops are often repeated on these pages. I enjoy photography but fail to upload the results all too often. I also like to write, write and write some more.

I have a husband, 2 brilliant adult children and many, many fantastic friends. I also still have a sense of humour. Please feel free to browse 🙂

  1. Search on the health benefits of beetroot. you wont regret it. 1-3 times a day. wash and put into mixer. a long story. but a stubborn neighbor manage to cure a dying girl. that after xray in the hospital the Dr in Sweden had sent home to die. Now I know there are different types of cancer. but its worth trying. with no side effects and no cost(that red in the beetroot. goes to the blood and cleans the blood. the blood goes everywhere in the body and helps, prevent, and cures yourself from within) and if it doesn’t work on you didn’t lose any money at all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCxvNWsrG0w

    • Thanks for the thought. I know beetroot has clinically proven benefits for lowering blood pressure and it’s lovely to eat/juice anyway. I’m always sceptical about total cures, however, but each to their own and I am grateful for your thoughts.
